Your data, in plain words
Privacy policy
What personal data we collect when you use this website or book a trip, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Who is responsible
Toubkal Trekking Experts, based in Imlil, Al Haouz, Morocco, is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and organise your trip:
- When you send the booking or contact form: your name, email address, the trip, your start date, group size and your message. The form opens your own email app or WhatsApp with the request filled in, so the data travels through your email or messaging provider.
- When you book: the details we need for the trip, such as the names and passport details of travellers (required by refuges, hotels and the authorities), dietary needs, any health information you choose to share, your pickup address and payment records.
- When you message us by email, WhatsApp or phone: the content of your messages and your contact details.
Why we use it
- To answer your questions and send you a quote, at your request.
- To organise and run your trip with guides, drivers, refuges, hotels and camps, to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records, as the law requires.
- To keep you and your group safe, for example sharing your names with a refuge or mountain rescue if needed.
We never sell your data and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Third-party services on this website
- MET Norway (yr.no): the live weather block asks api.met.no for the forecast, which receives your IP address. No other data is sent.
- Links to Google, Tripadvisor and WhatsApp: nothing is loaded from these services until you click a link.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking only as long as needed to answer them, and booking and accounting records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under Moroccan law 09-08 and, for travellers in the European Union, the GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use or ask for a copy. Write to contact@
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel, www.cndp.ma) or to the data protection authority of your country.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we use data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
