Our story

Toubkal Trekking Experts started in Imlil, the village at the end of the road from Marrakesh where every Toubkal trek begins. Our founder, Said, grew up here and began guiding trekkers on the mountain [year]. Today the team includes [number] licensed guides and the muleteers, cooks and village families who make every trek work.

We are not a booking platform. When you write to us, you talk to the people who will plan your trek, and when you arrive, you walk with guides who know every path, every family and every change in the weather. That is why travellers keep mentioning our guides by name.

How we work

Every trek is led by an officially licensed mountain guide, as Moroccan law requires on Toubkal. We keep groups small, set the pace by the slowest walker and turn around when the mountain says no. We pay our muleteers and cooks fairly, buy food in the local markets and carry our rubbish down.
