Your data, in plain words
Privacy policy
What personal data we collect when you use this website or book a trek, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Who is responsible
[Legal company name], Imlil, Morocco, is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and organise your trek:
- When you send the booking or contact form: your name, email address, the trek, your start date, group size and your message. By default the form opens your own email app or WhatsApp with the request filled in, so the data travels through your email or WhatsApp provider. [If you connect a form service such as Formspree, name it here.]
- When you book: the details we need for the trek, such as the names, ages and passport numbers of travellers (required by refuges and the authorities), dietary needs, relevant health information you choose to share, your hotel for pickup and payment records.
- When you message us by email, WhatsApp or phone: the content of your messages and your contact details.
Why we use it
- To answer your questions and send you a quote (at your request).
- To organise and run your trek: guides, transport, refuges and guesthouses (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep accounting and tax records (a legal obligation).
- To keep you and your group safe in the mountains, for example sharing your names with a refuge or mountain rescue if needed.
We never sell your data and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Third-party services on this website
- MET Norway (yr.no): the live weather block asks api.met.no for the forecast, which receives your IP address. No other data is sent.
- Links to Google, Tripadvisor, WhatsApp and Instagram: nothing is loaded from these services until you click a link.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after [12 months]. Booking and accounting records are kept for [10 years], as required by Moroccan accounting law.
Your rights
Under Moroccan law 09-08 and, for travellers in the European Union, the GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use or ask for a copy. Write to contact@
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel, www.cndp.ma) or to the data protection authority of your country.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we use data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
